Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL WOYCHUK 1909 - 2002 The quiet passage of Michael On May 21, 2002 Michael Woychuk peacefully passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, Jennie; his children, Sally, Ernie and Herb (Marie) his grandchildren, Leon (Cheryl) and Michelle (Glenn) and his great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Madison and Zachary. He is also survived by his brother Bill (Mary) and his sister Mary and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Max and Eudokia; and his brother John. As a young man Michael worked with the large threshing crews on the great harvest of Western Canada. Upon marrying Jennie he settled in the Arborg region where he and Jennie farmed and operated a general store. In retirement Michael and Jennie moved to Winnipeg. Michaels love of the outdoors continued as he enjoyed countless hours tending his garden and lawn shrubs. He was an avid reader and enjoyed quiet walks to the library on his street. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and watching his family grow. Michaels family thanks Dr. Padua, Dr. Wong, Dr. L. Chung and all the caring staff on the 5th floor of the Seven Oaks Hospital. The family also thanks relatives and friends who visited Michael at the hospital. Viewing and prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, also at the chapel, with Rev. Peter Cain officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leon Woychuk, Glenn Leach, Mike Wenuik, Stanley Woychuk, Don Finnigan and Don Leah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
