JEAN BLAIR It is with deepest sorrow we announce that our Mom passed away on May 23, 2002. Mom was born on July 12, 1917, the oldest child of Emma and Russ Moggey, and raised in Wawanesa, MB. During the Second World War, Mom moved to Winnipeg and worked at McDonalds Aircraft where she met our Dad, George Blair. Mom and Dad were married on February 18, 1946 and had celebrated over 51 years of marriage before our Dad passed away on November 6, 1997. Mom will be greatly missed by her children, Betty (Don), Dennis (Cheryl) and Kathy (Tim) her beloved grandchildren, Jennifer (Kelly), Michael (Judy), Justin, Lucinda (Rod), Sara (Rob), Amy (Ryan), Darryl (Pricilla) and Timmy; and her great-grandchildren, David, Zachary and Destiny; her sisters, Florence, Ethel; her brothers, Jack and Mel. Mom was predeceased by her husband George; her grandson Stephen; her parents, Emma and Russ Moggey; her sisters, Joyce, Doris and Margaret. Mom was happiest when surrounded by little ones. She was a warm and loving wife, mom and nana who was always deeply committed to her family and very involved in our lives. Mom enjoyed both curling and horse racing in her leisure time. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 27, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in moms memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
