Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE SARA STEWART (nee SCHAFER) B.A. 1944 B.F.A. 1983 (U. of Man.) Peacefully at her home in Fort Garry, Marjorie died on May 22, 2002. She was born February 20, 1923 in Winnipeg, daughter of Sadie Ferguson Schafer and Roy E. Schafer. Marjorie was predeceased by George, her husband of 47 years, on May 23, 1994. Mom is survived by her children: Howard Stewart, Yellowknife, N.W.T., Gordon Stewart and Audrey Chaloner, Winnipeg, Jan Bones and husband George, Winnipeg. Also surviving Grandma are her special grandsons, Derek and Kevin Bones; sisters, Ruth Schafer, Vancouver, BC, Jean Gillespie, Calgary, AB; nieces, Kelly and Kerry Gillespie and nephew Timothy Gillespie of Calgary, AB; brother-in-law Ron Bartholomew and wife Helga of Toronto, ON. Moms life was full of many diverse activities. The "Clear Lake Cottage", her art work, bridge, golf and stamp collecting. The many friends from all these parts of Moms life made her journey truly wonderful. Moms love of family was strong and unconditional, and her example of dignity, grace and courage will remain with us all. Moms affiliations over the years have included: University Womens Club, Clear Lake Ladies Golf Club (Honourable Life) Medea Gallery; WAG Stamp Group, Printmakers Association; U.C.W. Unit #14 of Fort Garry United Church; and many Bridge clubs including A.C.B.L. We would like to thank Richard Kovak for his kindness, sense of humour, and dedication to Moms well being. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 28 at 4:00 p.m. in Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd., Winnipeg, (475-1586).
