Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES BODNARCHUK It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Uncle on May 23, 2002 at the Health Sciences Centre following a brief illness at the age of 91. Our Uncle was born November 2, 1910 in Selo Karow in Western Ukraine. He was a Flour Miller by trade in Germany and England. He immigrated to Canada in 1953 and was employed by Silverwoods Dairies, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the St. Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Church. James was an original resident of Lions Place, where he was active in shuffleboard, pool and the Camera Club. He enjoyed photography and received recognition for many of his photos. Uncle will be remembered for his many pictures taken at family gatherings. His hobbies were listening to music, reading and doing puzzles. Predeceased by his parents and a brother in Ukraine and sister Justina Blackner. Uncle James will be very sadly missed by his nephews, John Blackner, Carl Blackner of Los Angeles; nieces, Jennie Ruff, Anne Veosovich and Donna Elias (Wayne) and families. He is also survived by one brother and nieces and nephews in Ukraine. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrews Ukrainian Catholic Church, 160 Euclid Ave., with Father Holowaty officiating. Interment at Holy Family Cemetery.
