REV. ALLAN HESELWOOD It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Allan Heselwood on Friday, May 24, at the Maples Personal Care Home. Left to remember him are his sister Lorraine Comack (Bunty) brother-in-law Jack Hartel; nieces and nephews, Gail (Randy), Gary (Susan), Colleen (Louis), Valerie, Jeff (Robin), Jim (Diane), Jerry (Pat), Jack (Melissa), and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Uncle Allan was born in Headingly, MB, on December 18, 1924. He lived in Winnipeg for most of his youth. He was employed for 14 years by National Grain. He began his love of church work as a volunteer at Knox United. He worked with boys groups and enjoyed his involvement in the Junior Boys Parliament. He particularly enjoyed his 30 years in Scouting. He was granted the title of a Diaconal Minister in 1965 by the Newfoundland conference and served as a Minister in many provinces across Canada. Uncle Allan took a great interest in the lives of his nieces and nephews. He was always there with great ideas and fabulous "stuff". We will be forever grateful for our memories of him. He was predeceased by his father James; mother Elsie; sister Joyce; stepfather Jack; and brother-in-law John. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Meadowood United Church. Rev. Linda Churchill and Rev. David Murata (Knox Church) will officiate at the service. Donations can be sent to Meadowood United Church, 1111 Dakota St., Winnipeg, R2N 3T7. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
