SHEILA MEISNER (nee DAVIDSON) After a long illness, it is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving mother, in Riverview Health Centre on May 24, 2002 at the age of 67. Sheila is survived by her daughter Wanda and husband Guy; son Ralph and fiancee Katie; son Wade and friend Kelvin; her grandchildren, Dustin and Jeremy Wilde, Marlies and Matthew Meisner; great-grandsons Ashton Wilde and Keelin Wilde; stepgrandchildren, Josh and Brittany Beatty, Kenneth and Michael Normand; brothers Roderick and Dale; sister Joyce and their families. She was predeceased by her husband David, father John, mother Pearl and sister Phyllis. Mom and Dad fulfilled their dreams in 1992 when they retired and moved to their cottage. She was very happy there, loved working in her flowers, making quilts, travelling, camping and Manitoba winters. She loved to see family and friends and received great joy out of being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors, nurses, support staff and volunteers of Riverview Health Centre, 3E, for their care and support with a special thank-you to Stella, Liz and her home care givers. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 310 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Smalley on Friday, May 31 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Private interment at a later date. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
