CHARLIE GORDON PETERSON March 12, 1962 - May 23, 2002 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Charlie Peterson on May 23, 2002, after a lengthy battle with diabetes at the St. Boniface Hospital. Charlie is survived by his loving parents, Gordon and Eleanor; sisters, Mag Knox (Drew) and Sandy (Michele DElia) niece Paige Knox; nephew Sean Knox; uncles, aunts and relatives that will miss him dearly. Charlie attended school in the River East Division. He graduated from R.R.C.C. as a heavy duty mechanic. He enjoyed his work very much until his illness prevented him to work any longer. Charlie enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, boating and just driving in the countryside. In the winter he and his friends liked to go snowmobiling. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, who always treated Charlie with respect and dignity, we will always be grateful for that. Thank you to all the members of of our family who have supported us during these years of his illness. Thank you to Geoff and Gerald for always bringing cheer once a week, Charlie truly enjoyed those visits. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlies name to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-301 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9, The Variety Childrens Heart Centre, or a charity of ones choice.
