JACOB WALTER Peacefully, on Thursday, May 23, 2002 at Concordia Hospital, Jacob Walter, beloved husband of Anna, died at the age of 83 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ruth (Peter) Vogt and Irene (Peter) Janzen: six grand-children and four great-grandchildren as well as one sister Margarete Rempel and her family, other relatives and friends. Jacob was predeceased by his parents; one grandson; and brother-in-law Abram Rempel. Special thanks to Dr. Bergen and the nursing staff on the third floor at Concordia Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 27, at 10:30 a.m. at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church, 570 Sharron Bay, with Rev. Ferdinand Funk and Rev. Frank Isaak officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Viewing at the church prior to the service. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Faith and Life Communications, 200-600 Shaftsbury Blvd., Winnipeg, MB, R3P 2J1. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
