PHYLLIS MAUDE WRIGHT (nee HAYES) Died peacefully at home May 20, 2002 in White Rock surrounded by family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William Albert of 35 years in 1975. Phyllis was born in Moose Jaw in 1913, the oldest of three - Jack (deceased) and Gordon (Shirl). She obtained a B.Sc. from the University of Manitoba, moved to Ireland and then Toronto where she and Bert married and had three children, Merle, Bill (Shirley), Frank (Barb). They spent many years in Winnipeg where Phyllis was a volunteer community leader. Their retirement years were spent in B.C. She cherished her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mom loved flowers but has requested that her memory may be honoured with donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Foundation bursary program of the C.F.U.W., White Rock/Surrey Branch, P.O. Box 75143, White Rock, BC V4B 5L3. Memorial service was held in Surrey, BC. We remember Mom as a positive and progressive motivating force in our lives.
