SCOTT ALEXANDER SESAK May 14, 1987 - May 24, 2002 After a courageous nine month struggle with osteogenic sarcoma, Scott passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Left behind with a piece of our heart gone are his parents, Grant and Donna; brothers, Jeffrey and Barry; and his cat Rocky. Also left to cherish his memory is his "Auntie", Lois Beckel, who held a very special place in Scotts heart; Margaret Sesak (Baba), who was also very special to Scott; Grandpa, Harvey Beckel; and friend Pauline Armstrong from Gimli, where Scott liked to go visit. He also leaves behind Uncle Don Sesak and friend Wendy Betker; Uncle Dave and Aunt Cindy and cousins, Kristen and Erin Sesak; Uncle Glenn Sesak; Uncle Ron and Aunt Diane and cousins, Will and Kevin Sesak. Scott was predeceased by his grandmother, Anna "Jerrie" Beckel and grandfather, William "Bill" Sesak. Scott grew up in Elmwood and attended Kent Road School and then Valley Gardens Junior High where he met some very special people. He then attended Elmwood High School for a short period of time and then transferred to Montcalm School where he tried valiantly to attend when his illness would allow him. Scott like to meet his friends and go for a bike ride, a Slurpee or go to the mall. He also enjoyed many hours at his computer playing various games, especially Roller Coaster Tycoon and Ultimate Ride. Scott had his dream vacation come to reality in August-September, 2001 when he and his family and "Auntie" went to Disney World and on a Disney Cruise. Scott was able to ride real roller coasters and other rides that he so enjoyed. Thanks to the Childrens Wish Foundation, Scott was able to relive his dream vacation from April 27 to May 8, 2002 one more time. Grant and Donna would like to express their heartfelt thanks to many people who have helped us and given us so much support during these last few months. His great-aunts and uncles and friends of the family, Doug and Greg, from the Childrens Rehabilitation Centre, for giving Scott the chance to walk on two legs again. It was the brightest time during his illness. Special thanks to Dr. Ken Brown and his colleagues in Vancouver who tried tremendously hard to save Scotts leg, and the staff of CK5 of the Childrens Hospital who made his many weeks of treatment more comfortable for him and the family. Our greatest thanks goes out to Dr. Rochelle Yanofsky and Cathy Bourne, R.N. who tried so hard to save Scott and tried to let us have him for a few more years. You were the best and we love you for trying so hard and going beyond the limits for us. Thank you! Memorial service will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler on Thursday, May 30 at 12:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. Interment to follow at a later date. Scott, you will always be in our hearts and we will miss you terrible. There will always be an empty spot in our lives. We all love you! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scotts name to the Childrens Cancer Foundation, 675 Mcdermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Always loved, never forgotten VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
