GEORGE ALEXANDER SCOTT (ALEX) It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of George Alexander Scott on Thursday, May 23, 2002 at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 83 years. Alex was predeceased by his parents; his wife Margaret; and a brother Bob. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Marion; his daughters, Barbara (Walter) Kostinuik and Norma (Larry) Patzer; stepsons, Conrad, Cliff (Karen), Bob (Pam) and Keith Reimer. Alex was a proud grandfather of four granddaughters, four great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. He is survived by sisters, Millie Cairns, Marjorie Lee, Trudy Lynch and brothers, Art and Ken (Tip) and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, 56 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie, on Wednesday, May 29 at 1:30 p.m. with Wilma Shirriff officiating. Interment of the ashes will take place at Glencoe Cemetery, Cypress River, MB at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Alexs memory to the Legion Poppy Fund, in care of Royal Canadian Legion No. 65, 275 Duke Ave., Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 0S5 or a charity of your choice. A tree will be planted and cared for in memory of Alex by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, who are entrusted with the arrangements. 857-4021.
