TILLIE BACHYNSKY March 24, 1909 - May 26, 2002 Peacefully in her sleep, Tillie passed away at the age of 93. Tillie was born in Vita, MB, and moved to Winnipeg in 1943 where she was employed by Stalls Sportswear for 19 years, followed by several years at Eatons. Tillie will be sadly missed by her children, Elsie of Ste. Anne, MB, Mary (Carl) Krawchenko, Bill (Irene) Bachynsky; beloved Baba to Margaret (Randy) Pesclovitch, Sandi (Bob) Altner, Chris Krawchenko and partner Rob Shaw, Joe Krawchenko, Kathy (Rene) Lafantasie and Jim (Lisa) Bachynsky; six great-grandchildren, Matthew, Meghan, Katiana, Jessica, Rachel and Kim. Tillie is also survived by sisters, Mary Hawrylishen of Toronto, Ann Harcott of Kamloops, BC; and brother John (Nellie) Strumbicky of Winnipeg. She will also be remembered by many nephews, nieces and friends. "Baba" known affectionately as the "General" was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed a good laugh, TV soap stories and gardening. She made the best perogies and blintzes in the west and was admired for her seamstress talents. Tillie was predeceased by her husband John (Yonko) Bachynsky in 1968; brothers, Fred Strumbicky (1990) and Bill Strumbicky (1995). Prayers will be said on Wednesday, May 29, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 30 at 9:00 a.m. also at Cropo Chapel with The Rev. Fr.
