MARGARET BARON (WOODGATE) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Margaret Baron on Monday, May 27, 2002. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Debra, Richard and Roberta Woodgate and her many relatives and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, her first husband and father of her children Gordon Woodgate and her second husband, Louis Baron. Margaret was born on April 5, 1924. She resided her entire life in Winnipeg. In her early working years she worked at Sydney I. Robinson and the Winnipeg Free Press. After Gordon passed away in 1966 she went to Red River Community College. Upon graduation she joined the payroll section of the Manitoba Health Services Commission where she worked until her retirement. She had many happy years there and made many good friends. Those who knew her were always aware of her keen sense of humour and wit. Her greatest qualities were her compassionate and caring demeanour and her generosity. She always thought of others before herself. Margaret was an avid reader before her eyesight failed. She had many other interests including her love for her pets, music and gardening. She very much enjoyed tending to her beautiful flowers and growing perfect tomatoes. Her great belief in God provided her with comfort throughout her life. She was a longtime member of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Anglican Church where she reserved the last pew. Her greatest joy in life was her family and raising her three children. She was always there for them and will be remembered forever with love. Her family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Seven Oaks Hospital, especially the nurses of 4U3, 4U9 and 5U5 for their care and compassion during the last two weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Martin-in-the-Fields Anglican Church, 160 Smithfield Ave., Winnipeg, R2V 0C2 or CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave. Room ON109, Winnipeg, R3E 0V9. Cremation has taken place and a private interment took place at Brookside Cemetery. A celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, May 29, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Anglican Church with The Rev. Mary Lysecki officiating. She is at peace with her sweet prince CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
