Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONARD BAGOT ORTON Peacefully, after an extended illness, Leonard passed away at Tuxedo Villa Extended Care Home on Monday, May 27, 2002. Born September 7, 1917 to Madeline and Leroy Orton, Leonard lived his entire life in Winnipeg with the exception of the seven years he served overseas in the Second World War. Leonard is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Betty) his daughters, Marilyn McCorrister and Janice Carson; grandsons, Kevin (fiancee Kirsten Earl), Andrew (friend, Michelle Saunders), Stuart and Robert McCorrister; brothers-in-law, Dave (Bernice) Grose, Gerald (Ida) Grose and Jim (Ernastine) Grose; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or to the St. James United Church Memorial Fund, 234 Parkview St., Winnipeg, MB R3J 1S3. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 2:00 p.m. at St. James United Church, 234 Parkview St. Interment has taken place in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
