MARY SCHADE Peacefully on May 27, 2002, Mary Schade passed away at the age of 90 at Betel Home in Gimli. Mary was predeceased by her husband Otto in 1981. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Edna (Rene) Lavigne, Mildred (Bob) Shirtliff, sons, Alan (Del) and Leonard (Gail) as well as 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is survived by sisters, Edna of Everett, Washington, Lena of Regina and sister-in-law Mary of Edmonton. Mary lived most of her life in Starbuck, where she was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Mom was the greatest cook on earth. She was devoted to her family and was known for her sense of humour, kindness and generosity. A celebration of Marys life will be held on Friday, May 31 at 2:00 p.m. in Starbuck at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Ron Vert officiating. Special thanks to the staff at Betel Home for their compassion and care.
