PATRICIA ZEWENIUK (DUBINSKY)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA ZEWENIUK (nee DUBINSKY) After a lengthy illness, on Sunday May 26, 2002 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Patricia Zeweniuk, aged 40 of Winnipeg, beloved wife of Bill Zeweniuk. Patricia was born in Winnipeg where she graduated from the John Taylor High School and afterwards The S.B.G.H. School of Nursing in 1982. Patricia took great pride in her work as a nurse, and was sensitive to her care-giving considering her time spent as a patient. In her early years, she enjoyed volunteering with the Guides and as a candy-striper. Patricia was employed by the Sharon Nursing Home and recently as a casual at the St. Boniface General Hospital. She was extremely organized in her activities, be it looking after her home, volunteering, or her work as a nurse. Besides her nursing career, Patricia especially enjoyed her Friday nights at the golf club, spectating at Wesmen basketball and Moose hockey games, baking (her gingerbread houses were masterpieces), and enjoying her special cat, Rusty. Patricia will be sadly missed by her husband Bill; his daughter Kathleen; parents, Joe and Anne Dubinsky of Winnipeg; father-in-law Bill Sr.; brother Edward (Dorothy) and nephew Adam; and niece Josephine of Winnipeg; grandmother Maria Boyko (Edmonton) Uncle Stanley Dubinsky (Meath Park) Auntie Mary Bilowchuck; and cousins, Maureen Bilowchuk and Myrna (Martin) Pudlas; and children, Jeffrey and Hannah of Prince George; and all of her friends made through her nursing career and through the St. Ignatius Parish. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Nestor and Domka; and maternal grandfather Fred. Prayers and a viewing will be held at the St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Corydon at Stafford in Winnipeg on Wednesday, May 29 at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the St. Ignatius Church at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, with Fr. Brian Massie officiating. Interment will follow in the Assumption Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Joe Campbell of the Grace Hospital, Dr. Duerksen of ACF Medicine and the medical staff in Emergency and 5ASouth of the St. Boniface General Hospital, and especially the long term care of Dr. Russel Albak and his assistant Roseanne of the Assiniboine Clinic for their care and concern.
