ANNE FAVELL Peacefully, on Monday, May 27, 2002, Anne aged 82 years, passed away at Riverview Health Centre after a brief battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph in 1992 and sister Mary in 1994. Anne will be sadly missed, loved and remembered by her son Alex; brothers, Joe (Margaret) Koniaz and Tony Koniaz, both of Winnipeg; sisters, Caroline MacKay of Winnipeg and Bertha (William) Kumka of Kelowna, BC and many nieces and nephews. Anne spent her childhood in Brooklands where she grew up and attended school. She worked many years for Levit Sign Company before retiring to be at home with her family. Anne was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and subsequently a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 9. Anne also served as secretary for the Over 55 club at Branch No. 9. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and was always working on projects around the house. She especially enjoyed going to church and getting together with family on Sunday afternoons. The family wishes to thank Dr. Pat Harris and the nursing staff of the Oncology Unit at Concordia Hospital and the nursing staff at Riverview Health Centre for their devoted care given to Anne. In lieu of flowers, donations in Annes memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Pallbearers will be Tony Koniaz, Ken Burdey, Jason Burdey, Garett Burdey, Garry Winter and Ed Schellenberg. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
