JERRY TOFFEN Peacefully, on May 13, 2002, Jerry passed away in Surrey, BC. Jerry was born on September 5, 1940 in Rosa, Man. In 1947 he moved to Winnipeg with his family. Because of his interest and love of cars, Jerry spent most of his life in car sales employed by some of the larger dealerships and then going into business on his own. Upon retiring, he moved to British Columbia where he enjoyed his pastimes of fishing and playing crib with friends. Jerry will be remembered for his gentle, kind manner and sadly missed by his children, Christopher and Andrew, and their mother Diane, Crystal (Mike), Dean (Kim) and their mother Marlene (Harold) and grandchildren, Kerri and Eric; mother Evelyn; sister Shirley (Jim) brother Brian plus extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Melody in 1969 and father Peter in 1999. The family gives special thanks to Mary, a neighbour and friend, for her care and kindness when Jerry was in need. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Rd., with Fr. Michael Krochak officiating. Donations may be made in Jerrys memory to Manitoba Cancer Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9.
