Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAMY ELLEN MITCHELL (nee MAYTUM) Passed peacefully in her sleep on May 24, 2002 in Minneapolis. She was predeceased by her husband William in 1984; her parents, Edward and Bertha Maytum; sisters, Bertha, Emily, Madge, Lucy and brothers, Ned and Charles. She leaves five children, Bill of Winnipeg, Iris Ahlgren of Kelowna, BC, Dolores (Nick) Stewart of Winnipeg, Diane Wybrow of Minneapolis and Linda (John) Cloutier of Nanaimo, BC; nine grandchildren, Rita, Michael, Richard, Susan, Sharon, Theresa, Daniel, Lionel and Natalie, also 11 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her hearty laugh and her zest for life. She took a loving interest in her family and friends. She loved to travel, to socialize, horse racing, bingo, casino and cards. The service will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Kildonan Community Church, 2373 Main St., Winnipeg, with a service by Rev. Richard Gillanders. Interment will follow in Kildonan Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church hall. "An Angel got her wings"
