BERNADETTE PELLAND (nee TOUROND) December 21, 1928 - May 29, 2002 With family by her side, Bernadette Pelland passed away peacefully on May 29, 2002, at the age of 73 years at the St. Boniface Hospital. Bernadette is survived by her husband Leo Pelland of 54 wonderful years of marriage. She was predeceased by her son Jacques in 1964. Left to cherish her memory are her 10 children, Maggie, Rita (Dennis), Denis (Paula), Denise (Wayne), Jackie (Tim), Marian (Henri), Richard, Marcel (Monique), Jacques (Lori), Ronny; and 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers; sisters; many nieces and nephews. Mom had many friends at Local Legion No. 43 and the Lady Auxilliary Club as well as many friends at 101 Marion and also her Bowling League. We would like to express many thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the MICU on the 2nd floor at St. Boniface Hospital and to the Emergency staff and Pastoral Services. A special thank you to Darryl. A celebration of Bernadettes life will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Viewing will take place at 6:30 p.m. A private family interment of the cremated remains will take place at the St. Boniface Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association (Manitoba Division), 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
