MARIE MONICA POTTER Peacefully, in her sleep, our mother Marie Potter passed into the loving arms of the Lord on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at the age of 78. Marie was predeceased by her husband John Potter in 1999. Left to cherish our moms memory are her children, Marilyn Giraud, Greg and Janet Potter, Deanna and Wayne Buck; her grand-children, Lindsay and Geoff Loomer, Dana and Donald Reed, Scott Horne, Jennifer, Daniel and Jonathan Potter, Gordon, Andrew and Matthew Buck; and her great-grandchildren, Donovan and Maia Reed. She is also survived by her brother Walter Klym, many nieces, nephews and extended family. Marie was born in Winnipeg on November 6, 1923. She attended Isaac Newton School and worked for Moores Business Forms. In 1946 she married John Potter. Her devotion to her family was central in her life. She left us with many traditions and fond memories. She had a strong bond with each of her nine grandchildren. Marie enjoyed volunteering for various community efforts. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at Concordia Hospital who took such good care of our mom and showed such kindness and compassion. Prayers will be held on Friday, May 31 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel with Pastor Gerhard Friesen officiating. A private interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Maries memory to Concordia Hospital Foundation, 1095 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, R2K 3S8.
