CATARINA (KAY) RACHELA AIELLO (nee TORCHIA) Peacefully, in her sleep, Catarina Aiello, aged 94 years, beloved wife of the late Luigi Aiello. Catarina was born in Amato, Cantanzaro, Italy and came to Canada in 1925. She resided with her family in Transcona until she married Luigi on March 14, 1930. She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons and three daughters, Connie Raccio (wife of the late Joe), Rachel Chepil (wife of the late Joe) of Toronto, Ralph and his wife Maria, Tony and Diana and her 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Rachela Torchia; her brothers, George and Frank. She also leaves to mourn her two brothers and two sisters, Joe Torchia (Olive), Tony Torchia (Eileen), Angelina Zinghini (Joe) and Margaret Lozinsky of Edmonton; her sisters-in-law, Maria Torchia (wife of the late George) and Stella Torchia (wife of the late Frank), numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives. Our mother was a kind and compassionate woman who loved her family. She will always be remembered. The pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and Ralph Falvo. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4 at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., with the Rev. Sam Argenziano officiating. Viewing will take place at 1:00 p.m. prior to the mass. Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. The family would like to thank the staff on the 4th floor at Central Park Lodge for their care and concern for our mother. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
