WALTER MAZUR 1926 - 2002 Unexpectedly on Thursday, May 30, 2002, Walter passed away, at the Health Sciences Centre. He was predeceased by his parents, Anastasia and Ludwig; as well as brothers, Tony, Martin; sister Jessie Warwaruk; and a brother at birth. Walter will be sadly missed and remembered by his wife, Stella of 47 years; son Dennis (Kelly) granddaughters, Amanda and Larissa; daughters, Debbie (Rick Marshall) and Susan. Walter was born in Keld, MB, where his family farmed. He began his career as a Manager with Manitoba Dairy & Poultry in Rossburn, MB, then later took a position in Shoal Lake where he met Mom. They were married in 1954 and moved to Winnipeg, where he worked for Carling Brewery and then later worked at Hudson Bay Company for 32 years before retiring in 1992. He was a good cook and loved to barbecue and entertain family and friends. Dad was a very trusting person who took a persons word at face value. He was always coming up with ideas to make work easier. That was Walter. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 4 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., followed by interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Pallbearers will be Rick Marshall, John Atamanchuk, Wilfred Westall, Andy Pomo, Ronnie Kondrat and Matthew Dolloff. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Walters memory to Deliverance Centre Church, Youth Outreach, 1831 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2R 2A9.
