KENNETH AMELIUS McCREA It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather at Kelowna General Hospital on May 30, 2002. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Lillian; their children, daughter Patricia (Stephen), seven sons, Gregory (Sharon), Kenneth, William (Judy), Daniel (Teresa), Stewart (Gerry), Stephen (Janette), Brent (Bev), 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister Maxine Harris. He is sadly predeceased by his father Ralph in 1964; his mother Mary Anne in 1955; one brother Nelson and three sisters, Shirley, Kathleen and Pat. Dad was born September 2, 1928 at Bowsman, MB. Dad, Mom and their family lived in Winnipeg until 1973, at which time they moved to British Columbia where they have resided since. He worked in the building industry in both Winnipeg and British Columbia until his early retirement due to illness. Dad loved spending time with his family and was always there for them. His wife and family were his greatest joys. Anyone who knew Dad, knows only too well how he would always stop for a chat. We will miss you Dad, but we know you will always be watching over us and guiding us day by day. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd., Kelowna, BC. The family wishes to express their thanks to the ICU staff at the Kelowna General Hospital for their care and compassion.
