NORMAN CARL SOLNES 1922 - 2002 Peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2002 at the Emerson Personal Care Home, Norman Carl Solnes, beloved husband of Jean of Dominion City passed away at the age of 80 years. Norm will be remembered by his wife Jean; sons, Barry (Beth), Brian (Joan) four grandchildren, Chris, Cara (Mike), Scott (Marcella), Tori (Nicole) and their families; two brothers, Gordon (Iris), Boyd (Rita) two sisters, Bernice (Harold), Mildred (Bill). He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Hanna. Norms family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of the Emerson Personal Care Home for the care and compassion extended to Norm until his passing. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the Dominion City United Church on Tuesday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m. Since Norm loved sports, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Dominion City Recreation Inc. or the Roseau Crossing Heritage Park, Dominion City. DEAR LORD Put Your arms around Norm Hold him in Your tender care Make up to him for all he suffered And all he had to bear. He went through so much in silence His spirit didnt bend. He faced his pain with courage Until the very end. It broke our hearts to lose him But he didnt go alone For part of us went with him The day You called him home.
