Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY (MARIE) SHEPANSKI It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Shepanski announces her sudden passing on Thursday, May 30, 2002 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, ON. Mary was born on August 4 in Meleb, MB the eldest daughter of Barbara and Frank Baliant. She was united in marriage to Edward Shepanski on September 25, 1948 and resided in Fort Frances for the past 50 years. Marys life revolved around her family and friends. She was a woman of many talents. Mary loved animals and nature; her vegetable gardens were her pride. She expressed her creativity with her many sewing projects. Mary loved to cook and you never left her kitchen feeling hungry. Mary would tell you stories that would entertain you for hours or comfort your needs in a simple phone call. Her love for her family and friends was unconditional. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Barbara Baliant; two brothers, Albin and John Baliant; and one son John Shepanski. Mary is survived by her husband Edward Shepanski of Fort Frances; six children, Barbara and husband Chuck Hadley of Anoka, MN, George Shepanski of Calgary, AB, Joanne and husband Richard Bliss, Nick and Andrew Shepanski, and Josie and husband Darryl McLeod, all of Fort Frances; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Chad Hadley and wife Dawn and their children, Katelyn and Nathan of Burns Township, MN, Todd Bliss of Toronto, ON, Nicole and husband Jeff Clapp and their son Jax of Champlin, MN, Tanis Bliss of London, ON, Stacia Hadley and Tiffany Hadley, both of Anoka, Nina Shepanski and Derek and Chantel McLeod, all of Fort Frances; two sisters, Ann Rosolowich of Winnipeg and Jean Baliant of Meleb; one brother Bert Baliant of Gimli, MB; and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Marys Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances. Fr. Eugene Whyte O.M.I. will officiate with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances. Friends visited Monday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Green Funeral Home. Parish prayers were offered at 7:00 p.m. The active pallbearers were Marys sons, George, Nick and Andrew and sons-in-law, Chuck, Richard and Darryl. The honorary pallbearers were Marys grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Should family and friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the charity of your own choice.
