JACOB WILLMS Jacob Willms passed away suddenly on May 31, 2002, at his home in Kelowna, BC. He was born April 26, 1919, in Furstenweder, Ukraine. He is survived by four children, Ernie (Susan), Abbotsford, BC, Jake L. (Eleanor), Coaldale, AB, Irene Berg (Rod), Langley, BC, and Karen Boggs (Murray), Cobble Hill, BC; grandchildren, Jennifer, Mark, Brian, Kathryn, Michael and Murray (MJ) brothers, Peter Rempel, Henry Rempel, John Rempel, Edgar Rempel, Walter Rempel; and sisters, Anita Kasper, all living in Manitoba, and Margaret Heese, Wymark, SK; and sister-in-law Nettie Neufeld, Winnipeg, MB; many nephews and nieces and their children. Jacob immigrated to Canada in 1924, grew up in the Grunthal, MB, married Helen Braun in 1946, and resided in Winnipeg until the family moved to Kelowna in 1967. He was predeceased by his father Jacob Willms; mother Anna Rempel; stepfather Dietrich J. Rempel; brothers, Harold, Ernie and Dietrich Rempel; also predeceased by his wife in 1998 after 52 years of marriage. Funeral will be at 1st Mennonite Church, 1305 Gordon Dr., Kelowna, on Thursday, June 6, 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Kelowna Memorial City Cemetery.
