DOUGLAS (BUDDY) TAYLOR Peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at the Richmond, BC hospital, after a short illness, Douglas (Buddy) Taylor passed away at the age of 60 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Sadie; his older brother Terry and step-brother Tim. He is survived by his step-mother Jean and step-sister Faye. Bud grew up in the Fort Rouge area. From a young boy he was very interested in music and played drums for numerous bands in his teen years. He will best be remembered for the years he played drums for The Mystics where he met many lasting friends in the music industry. Bud had an avid interest in baseball and spent many hours watching and playing his favourite sport. He moved to Watson Lake and Whitehorse where he worked for Canadian/Air Canada. From there he was transferred to Toronto and then to Vancouver where he worked until his illness. Buddy will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all whose paths he crossed. Peace forever, we will meet again.

  • Hello. My name is Gary, I was remembering people in my life that made an impression on me and I thought of Buddy, I am the fellow that Buddy came to Vancouver with in the mid sixties. That was so long ago I can't remember how we parted ways. I returned to WPG to pick up my girlfriend and the rest of my belongings. I returned to Vancouver and have lived here ever since. I just learned about Buddy having lived in Richmond while trying to look him up, I wish i had known. I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. Gary Dupont - Posted by: Gary Dupont (Friend) on: Jan 21, 2024
