MARGARET GORDON On Monday, June 3, 2002, Margaret Gordon passed away at Vista Park Lodge at the age of 86 years. Born on January 11, 1916 to Mr. and Mrs. James Johnston, the youngest of six children, she was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Jim and Pete; three sisters, Bar, Mabel and Jessie and husband Hugh. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Hugh (wife Karen) of Kelowna, BC; and several nieces and nephews. We are especially grateful for the loving attention given to her by her niece Arlene who has been a big assistance over the past several years while Margaret resided at Vista Park Lodge. Margaret served as a nursing sister for the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corp overseas during the Second World War. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years at Canada Packers where she met her husband of 22 years, Hugh, who passed away June 30, 1970. Margaret also worked as a nurse for Eatons in the late 40s and St. Boniface Hospital in the 60s, 70s retiring in 1981. She was a longtime resident of Norwood. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
