MAXINE GLENNE WILKS (nee DILLABOUGH) On Monday, June 3, 2002, at the Grace General Hospital, Maxine Glenne Wilks, aged 73 years, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Maxine was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Dorothy, Maude and Bernice. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 54 years, Danny; children, Patricia Winton (Richard), Dan Wilks Jr. (Janice), Kelly Wilks (Barb) and Timothy Wilks (Wendy) grandchildren, Christopher Winton (Tiina), Patricia Winton-Grey (Ken), Mandy Wilks, Jay and Jena Wilks, Kolton and Tyler Wilks; and two great-grandchildren, Dechlan and Alastair; and Barbs daughters, Chantelle and Faith. Mom loved gardening, fishing and jigsaw puzzles. There was no puzzle too difficult for her to master. Maxine was proud to serve as a volunteer at the Grace Hospital for over 17 years. She was a loving, faithful wife and companion to Danny for 54 years. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother who was always there to listen, encourage and support her family in a non-judgmental fashion. We are so proud to have had her in our lives. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. with Chaplain Paul Brown officiating. Her family wishes to thank the palliative care team on 4 West at the Grace Hospital.
