KASIMIR WILGOSH Peacefully on June 5, 2002 at the Concordia Hospital, Kasimir Wilgosh, beloved husband of Steffie, passed away at the age of 77 years. Kas was born into a large family on June 14, 1924 on the family farm in Brokenhead. Kas eventually moved to Winnipeg where he met Steffie. They were married in 1950 and settled in Transcona. He worked at Eatons until his retirement in 1989. He continued to keep busy at the Blessed Sacrament church and hall where he retired for a second time in 1997. Kas enjoyed sports of all kinds and was a big fan of all the Winnipeg teams. Kas also loved spending time watching his grandchildren play hockey. Kas will be missed by his wife of almost 52 years, Steffie; sons, Don (June) and Brad (Belinda) grandchildren, Kiel, Bradley, Nikki, Karly and Aaron; and grand dogs Silver and Dudley. He also leaves behind brothers, Bernie (Mary) and Johnny; sisters, Anne Kazina and Mary (John) Patterson; brother-in-law Russell (Sandy) Chabluk; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by parents, John and Margaret; brothers, Stanley, Frank, George, Ed, Anton and Joe; and in-laws Nick and Nellie and Wally. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint).
