ALBERT GEORGE "BILL" BEASLEY 1920 - 2002 With sadness we announce the passing of our Dad and Grandpa on Friday, June 7, 2002 at Riverview Health Centre. He will be missed by his family, daughters, Marilyn husband David Loat; grandsons, Jim (Guelph, ON) and Colin; Marsha husband Henry Bergen and grandsons, Geoffrey, Bryan and Thomas. Bill was predeceased in February 1997 by his wife of 49 years, Marion. Bill retired in June, 1983 from the City of Winnipeg Transit. Dad was an official starter with Athletics Manitoba (Track and Field). Highlights for Dad were his work with Special Olympics and participating in the 1967 Pan American Games. Bill was a long time member of the St. James Legion Branch No. 4. Dad and Mom enjoyed the time they spent with friends in the Over 60 Club. His family wishes to thank the terrific staff of Ward 3E at Riverview Health Centre and the staff of Ward 2, 5th Floor at Grace Hospital. Special appreciation to Evelyn Hunter as well as Don and Shirley Banks. If people so choose, Dad would be pleased if memorial remembrances were made to Special Olympics Inc., Room 402, 200 Main St., R3C 4M2. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, June 10 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception will follow.
