SIAN GWENDOLINE EVENS CANSFIELD Born March 24, 1958 Died June 1, 2002 Daughter of the late Dr. Peter Evens Cansfield and wife Mary. Sian is survived by mother Mary; brother Roger; and sisters, Elspeth and Ruth; and many dear friends, especially General Romeo Dallaire, Major Brent Beardsley, Dr. Philip Lancaster, Carol Off, Linden MacIntyre, Lynette, and many others. A private funeral took place at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Headingley, MB on June 6, 2002. The service was officiated by Major Wilcox-Chaplain, Canadian Airforce. Sian was a kind and generous person with a gift to engage and connect with people in all walks of life. Her remarkable writing ability and skills as a foreign affairs researcher made her a valued journalist.
