GEORGINA (JEAN) PAUL (nee GELAUDE) December 11, 1917- June 7, 2002 A beautiful heart stopped beating when God sent an angel to bring her home. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on June 7, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Jean will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband Howard; son Ron and wife Diane; granddaughter Marla and husband George Merasty; great-grandchildren, Kaeden and Brenden. She also leaves behind, sister Georgette of Regina and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jean was predeceased by her father Theophile and mother Romanie; sisters, Elsie, Margaret, Clarice and Marie. Jean was born December 11, 1917 in St. Vital, MB. She was educated at St. Norbert Convent and later attended Success Business College. She and husband Howard married June 27, 1942, passing away just days before their 60th anniversary. Together, they ran a store and later a greenhouse business while they farmed. After selling, they moved to Grande Pointe, MB, where she spent time enjoying her beautiful yard. Jean and Howard moved to the city after the flood of 1997. She loved life and especially enjoyed a good game of Snakes and Ladders every Tuesday with her great-grandson. Jean belonged to the Belgium Club and enjoyed spending good times with her friends. We will remember her good sense of humour and her attention to detail. Viewing will be held Tuesday, June 11 at 1:30 p.m. in the St. Emiles Church, 556 St. Annes Rd. at Bishop Grandin. Funeral mass celebrating Jeans life will follow at 2:00 p.m. also in the church with Father Peters officiating. Interment to follow in St. Vital Catholic Cemetery, 236 River Rd.
