JOHN PHILLIP SHARBY Peacefully with his family at his side at St. Josephs Hospital, London, ON on Friday, May 17, 2002, John Phillip Sharby of London in his 70th year. Predeceased by his mother Katherine (Winzinowich) and his father John Sharby. Beloved husband of Dorothy Sharby; dear brother of Helen Dolski, Eleanor Sharby, Thomas Sharby and his wife Helen and Dianne Linnell and her husband Ken; and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. John was born and grew up in Winnipeg. He studied Engineering at both Universities of Manitoba and Alberta. He was passionate about music, books, art, nature, fine wine, good food and a lively debate. He loved life. His professional career took him to many remote areas of Canada in northern Manitoba, British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta and Nunavut. The Arctic held a special fascination for John. A special thank you to the staff of St. Josephs Hospital for their kindness, care and concern. It was Johns wish that there be no funeral service or visitation. Cremation took place on May 21, 2002. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to a charity of your choice.
