JENNIFER (JENNY) LEIGH SIGURDSON Born February 26, 1973, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2002 with her partner Travis at her side. She fought a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was predeceased by her grandfather Franklin Sigurdson. She will also be lovingly remembered by her family and friends in British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario. Born in Winnipeg, Jenny moved with her family to Sidney, BC at the age of five. During childhood, she was active in the Piranha swim club and the Sidney girls softball league. She graduated from Parkland High School and was awarded her BA and B.Ed. from UBC. Jenny had a passion for travel that led her to visit Europe, the Middle East, Mexico and Thailand. She began her brief teaching career at McMath High School in Richmond, BC and will be fondly remembered by her students and teaching staff.
