HELEN ROSETTA LEE (nee KNUDSON) Peacefully, on Sunday, June 9, 2002, Helen Lee passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. She was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1970, as well as seven brothers and sisters. Helen will be sadly missed by her daughter Helen; son-in-law Henry Peters and granddaughters, Jennifer and Karlen. Mom was born on July 20, 1911, in Nakusp, BC. She moved to Winnipeg with her family at an early age and resided on Collegiate Street in St. James until she married. Mom and Dad then moved to their home on Valour Road, where Mom remained for over 40 years. Her home was her pride and joy. Moms greatest pleasures were playing her piano, her summer cottage at Ingolf, ON, and her family, especially her granddaughters. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, June 12, at 10:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave., with Rev. Ian Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. We greatly appreciate the loving care that Mom received from all the staff on 7 East at Deer Lodge Centre. Thank you so much.
