MARION REIMER November 1, 1931 - June 7, 2002 Peacefully on June 7, 2002, Marion Reimer (nee Friesen) passed away at the Riverview Health Center at the age of 70 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Menno; daughter Julene of Winnipeg, daughter Sheryl and husband Rob of Surrey, BC, son Reginald and wife Valerie of Maple Ridge, BC, and son Darren and wife Andrea of Steinbach; eight grandchildren; five sisters and two brothers and a large extended family. Marion was predeceased by her parents and one sister. Marion was born on November 1, 1931 to John R. and Maria Friesen of Kleefeld, MB. On September 27, 1953 she married Menno L. Reimer. They farmed in the Rosenort area for 42 years and moved to Winnipeg in 1995 for retirement. The family extends gratitude to Dr. Peter Kirk, nurses, and staff on the Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Health Center for their compassionate care. The funeral service will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church, 870 Carter Ave., Winnipeg, MB on Wednesday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at the Rosenort Cemetery. Viewing at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, on Tuesday, June 11, 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. with a devotional to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined.
