Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH HENRY STREMBICKY February 22, 1909 - June 7, 2002 With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Joe, on Friday, June 7, 2002, at the age of 93 years at the Beausejour Hospital. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Frances of 68 years; son Edmond; daughters, Clara, Florence (Charles), Leona (Walter) eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Helen Sliva, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was born on February 22, 1909, in Saskatchewan. He farmed for several years in Rama, SK, then moved with his family to Winnipeg where he worked as a shoemaker with his brother Phil. In 1947, Joe and Frances and their family moved to Garson where he worked at the Quarries until his retirement. He enjoyed knitting sweaters, jigsaw puzzles and gardening which was his passion and which he enjoyed up until his passing. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue E., Beausejour, with Rev. Msgr. Wesley Cwieka the celebrant. Interment will follow at the Garson Community Cemetery The family thanks the staff at the Beausejour Hospital for their care while Dad was there.
