LORRAINE CHARTRAND Suddenly at the Arborg Hospital on Sunday, June 9, 2002, Lorraine Chartrand passed away at the age of 55 years. Lorraine will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her mother Germaine; sisters, Blanche Bours and Irene Rafuse (Dave) her brothers, Gerald (Preciosa), Maurice (Lynda), Dennis, Roy (Rita), and Larry (Gale) as well as her uncle Dave (Tina) and aunt Georgie Lockhart; and numerous extended family members and friends. Lorraine was predeceased by her father Harvey in 1981. Born in Inwood, MB on February 27, 1947, Lorraine later resided in Teulon, Stonewall, and Arborg. She spent many years working at the Arris Centre in Stonewall. She also worked at the Teulon Residence and most recently at the Riverdale Place Workshop in Arborg. Lorraine will be remembered for her cheery disposition and her very generous nature. She was a very sociable person and was at her best when she was giving to others. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff and residents of the Riverdale Place Homes Inc. where Lorraine was truly happy. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. A funeral service in celebration of Lorraines life will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Inwood, with Rev. Fr. R.A. Glofcheski officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Lorraines pallbearers will be Gerald, Maurice, Roy, Larry, Mario, and Darryl. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
