URINA MAY LAIDLER (RENA) Peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2002, at the Portage District General Hospital, with her daughter Marguerite and two nurses by her bedside, Urina May Laidler, of Portage la Prairie and formerly of Poplar Point, MB, beloved wife of the late Thomas John Laidler, passed away at the age of 95 years. Funeral service will be held at the Omega Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Norm Collier officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Annes Cemetery. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her loving memory her daughter Opal (Russell) Taylor of Poplar Point, daughter Fern (Frank) Lander of Sherwood Park, AB, daughter Marguerite (Roman) Warwaruk of Edmonton, AB; brother-in law Ben Nelson of High Bluff, MB; and all their families, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call at the funeral home for visitation prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Annes Cemetery Fund, in care of Ellen Griffiths, Box 30, Poplar Point, MB, R0H 0Z0, or to a charity of ones choice.
