Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY MICHALOW It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on Monday, June 10, 2002, at the Victoria General Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joseph; daughter Pat (Robert) Schwab; and her son Wayne; grandson Randy (Diana) Schwab; and great-grandchildren, Cody, Melissa and Nicole; and grandson Dan (Shannon) Schwab; and great-granddaughter Shelbie; brother Bill (Phyllis) Wozney; very special nephew Walter (Marion) Dutka; nieces and nephews, all of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her parents, Konstantine and Ksenia Wozny; brothers, Peter, Steve and Walter; also a sister Ann Sorenson. Mom was born on June 18, 1919 in Winnipeg. Her and Dad were married on June 3, 1944 in Winnipeg. After raising her family she worked for Eatons and then for Revenue Canada (Taxation) for 20 years retiring in 1985. Mom will always be remembered for her gentle and compassionate nature and her unconditional love for her family. The family wishes to thank Dr. A. Thottingal and the wonderful caring staff of 5 South of the Victoria General Hospital for their warmth and compassion during moms illness. A special thank you to Flora, Moms home care attendant. Mom always looked forward to her visits on Thursday. Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8 or to a charity of ones choice.
