DAVID GEORGE MOORE It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of David Moore, on June 3, 2002, at 43 years of age. David was predeceased by his mother Margaret (Marnie) and his father James Milton (Milt). Left to mourn his passing are his sisters, Cheryl Moore of Thunder Bay, ON, Linda Binkley (Gordon) of Jellicoe, ON, Maureen Goddard (Brian) of Ignace, ON; his brothers, Terry (Shirley) of Calgary, AB, Kelly (Cheryl) of Thunder Bay, Robbie in Thunder Bay and Jack (Shirley) in Pickle Lake, ON; his nieces, nephews and other family relatives, as well as countless friends. David will be especially missed by his cousins in Winnipeg, Dawn and Dianna. Born June 16, 1958, in Thunder Bay, Davids earlier years growing up were spent in Thunder Bay, Ignace and Manitouwadge, ON. David ventured out on his own early in life and lived in several places before settling down and making Winnipeg his home. He was always looking to try something new and because of that he had a wide variety of occupations in his life, including being a waiter, bartender, cook, hairdresser and running his own cleaning service to private homes and businesses. These career choices account for the wide variety of friends and acquaintances he had from so many different walks of life. However, David found his niche when he at last fulfilled his longtime wish and took the required training to become a Health Care Giver. David had a kind and compassionate way about him and being a Nursing Assistant at the hospital where he worked allowed him to extend that compassion to the patients under his care. He was so very proud of this achievement and that he could in his own way, help those in need. Visitation will be at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway at Sherbrook, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, June 12. Funeral service will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapels on Thursday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m., with Father Fred Olds officiating. Interment at Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main St., at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined; however, donations can be made in Davids name to a charity of your choice.
