Date of Passing: Jun 10, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH NOWICKI With sadness the family wishes to announce that Joseph fell asleep in death about noon on Monday, June 10, 2002 in the Selkirk General Hospital. Born in Springfield Municipality on July 4, 1922, he was near his 80th birthday. Up to this time he was fairly active in everyday life until lately when he had a fall outside. Joseph is survived by his sisters, Helene (Andrew) Sawatsky, Evelyn (Walter) Probizanski; by his brother Edward at home; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Maria Nowicki; by his sisters, Agnes (Mitro) Dzuba and Marie (Jim) Boitson; and by brothers, Frank, Charlie (Geraldine) and Tony (Lorretta). Sleeping in death he will await the resurrection when all those sleeping in death will arise (John 5:28-29) to a healthy life in the kingdom on earth for which we pray (Matthew 6:9-10). All those who survive Armageddon (Rev. 7:14) will welcome those resurrected ones to life where pain and death will be no more (Rev. 21-4). We wish to thank the Springfield and Beausejour Ambulance Services and also the doctors, staff and the kind nursing staff at both the Beausejour and Selkirk General Hospitals. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., with Mr. Denis Dyck officiating. Friends are invited to call for visitation and viewing Friday evening between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. also at the chapel. Burial at the Pine Ridge Cemetery on PR 206 east of the Birds Hill Park east gate. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
