DOROTHY CARLETON TAYLOR (nee SMITH) 1920 - 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dorothy on Sunday, June 9, 2002 at the Health Sciences Centre. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Charles; parents, Douglas and Margaret Smith; her sisters, Shirley Smith and Betty Parker; and her brother Norman Smith. She is survived by her stepdaughter Joan Johnson; her sisters, Margaret Anderson, Patricia Hamilton; and her brothers, Douglas Smith and Gordon Smith of Toronto; plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dorothy was born on July 2, 1920 in Winnipeg. She attended Faraday, Ralph Brown, Cecil Rhodes Schools and Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. She was employed for many years with Eatons. Her greatest pleasures were listening to classical music, especially choral music. She shared her contralto voice in the choirs of Grace United and Deer Lodge United Churches. She was a current member of Sparling United Church. At Dorothys request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. In lieu on flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A private family interment will follow at a later date. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
