Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJESTINA IMOGENE BARBER May 5, 1909 - June 11, 2002 After a short illness, embraced by Jesus, with her daughter Beryl at her side, Jestina passed away peacefully on June 11, 2002. Jestina was affectionately called Auntie Jeanie or Mother Barber. She was a God-fearing woman and a prayer warrior. Jestina will be dearly missed by her daughter Beryl Cole; grandson Malcolm Edwards and wife Monique; great-granddaughter Mirella; Michael, Pansey and children; Clarissa niece; Jenny, Louise, Maureen, Mauva, David, Glenroy; also other nieces, nephews and cousins; friends, Isolyn, Iva, David, Norma, Gwen and Fenry in Winnipeg; daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Toronto and Jamaica. The family wishes to express their thanks to the many friends who visited Jestina at Seven Oaks Hospital. Sincere thanks to the nursing staff and Drs. Chan and Patel at Seven Oaks Hospital. Viewing will be held 7:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 14 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral service will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15 at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St. with Rev. Bruce Martin officiating. Viewing will take place at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at Glen Lawn Cemetery, 455 Lagimodiere. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Temple Youth Camp or West Indian Christian Fellowship. Mother Barber you have left us with a legacy. You taught us to have a passion for the Lord.
