JOSEPH HAROLD NABOZNIAK Peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Joseph Harold Nabozniak, aged 65 years, of East Selkirk. He is survived by his loving wife June; six children, Lynn (Lawrence), Barb (Derek), John (Bette), Mike, Michele (Allan) and Tanis (Terry) five grandchildren, Paul, Brandi, Ashley, Melissa and David; two great-grandchildren, Tisha and Ethwyn; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother Mike; sister Jean; and grandson Wayne. Joe was born in Vita, MB on May 17, 1937. He was raised in Tolstoi, MB where he attended school. He worked at Winnipeg Supply for a number of years and then was self employed. He also worked a short time for Winnipeg Transit before suffering a stroke that left him disabled. Joe enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 42, where he was an active volunteer until his stroke. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Funeral service will be held on Friday (today), June 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk with cremation to follow. A private family interment of ashes to take place at a later date.
