Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH COLLIOU On Thursday, June 13, 2002 at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital, Eriksdale, Joseph Colliou, aged 82 years, beloved husband of Stella Colliou of St. Laurent, MB. Joseph was born January 18, 1920 in St. Laurent. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with the Lake Superior Regiment on Continental Europe and the U.K., being discharged in March 1946. He married Stella in 1954 and together they operated Collious General Store until August 2001. Surviving besides his wife Stella; daughter Jocelyne (Randy) Delipper; sons, Gerald (Cathy), and Daniel; grandchildren, Christine, Sean, Lindsay, Jonathan, Angela; brothers, Edmond (Lorraine) Collier, and Dr. Louis Colliou; sisters, Annette Barlow, Josephine Rainville, Dorothy Colliou, and Henriette (Victor) Bertouille; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Alexis and Alphonsine; brothers, Aime and John; sisters, Alexina Rainville and Rose Colliou. Prayers will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19 followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. E. Kamath will officiate. Pallbearers will be Claude Rainville, Marcell Rainville, Leo Colliou, Ronald Colliou, Raymond Colliou, and Roger Gaudry. The family wish to express sincere thanks to the Tache Centre, Lundar Health Centre, E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital, Eriksdale, Dr. N. Burnet, Art Dupont, Maritta Sinisalo and all the home care workers for their excellent care for the past five years. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
