GREG LAGIMODIERE Gregory "Greg" Maurice Lagimodiere - a son, a father, brother, uncle and friend. Greg was born Friday, August 21, 1964, at The Pas, MB. He received his education in The Pas. Greg then moved to Winnipeg where he resided for 14 years, working at Westfair Foods and then attending Robertson Career College before returning to The Pas. Greg was best known for his sense of humour, and enjoyed making others laugh. He always knew how to make you laugh just when you needed to. He had a very charismatic personality and simply loved people. His smile was infectious and his sense of humour contagious. His quick wit and ability to engage with others were skills that he often called upon in his employment. Greg had a varied work history that included manual labour, sales, broadcasting arts, and marketing. Greg had the gift of sales and could "sell ice to an Eskimo." He worked hard to please his customers. Music was a very big part of Gregs life. As a young man he took a keen interest in stereos and worked hard to have the latest equipment that made the "tunes" come to life. Greg loved to entertain and surround himself with others. He was often the life of the party and enjoyed socializing with friends. Greg cherished time with his daughters and tried hard to spend quality time with them. They were always close to his heart and thoughts. He loved them dearly. Greg was a very proud man who tried hard to force a smile despite some very difficult and trying times. Greg lived privately with his pain, often shielding others from his struggles. He preferred to connect with others through humour, not wanting to burden people. Greg will be sadly missed and his memory will live on in our hearts. Greg passed away suddenly, Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at The Pas, aged 37 years. He is survived by his daughters, Megan and Shea; Mom Vi Lagimodiere; sisters and brother, Maureen (Bob) Murray, Judy (Gerald) Nelson, Valerie Lagimodiere, Leslie (Barry) Hiebert, Mark (Fawn) Lagimodiere; as well as several nieces, nephews, and numerous close relatives. Greg was predeceased by his father Maurice "Moe" Lagimodiere; grandparents, Richard Sr. and Dorothy King, Herve and Neva Lagimodiere; as well as several close relatives. "When your day is night .... hold on" The funeral service was held Monday, June 10, 2:00 p.m., at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, The Pas, with Archbishop Peter Sutton, Rev. James Ravenscroft, and Rev. Paul Bringleson celebrating. Music ministry was Rita Hayward and organist, Tanis Asselstine. Memories of the heart were shared by Greg Vandermeulen. Readers were Michelle Murray and Mark Lagimodiere. Presentation of the gifts was by Betty Anderson and Janis Harris. Following the service, everyone was invited to a time of refreshment and fellowship which was held at the Guy Hall, hosted by the C.W.L. If friends so desire, donations made to a charity of choice would be appreciated by Gregs family. Cremation has taken place and Gregs remains will be interred by his father at Lakeside Cemetery, The Pas. Hemauer Funeral Home, The Pas, were in care of arrangements. 623-3261
