Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN FREDRICK WEGER Peacefully, on Thursday, June 13, 2002 at Donwood Manor, John Weger passed away at the age of 87 years. John served his country with the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders during the Second World War. He then was employed by the C.N.R. as a switchman until his retirement. Besides his sense of humour, John had many creative gifts. He took great pride in putting his mind and hands to good use. John loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed the family cottage at Nutimik Lake. He also had a great appreciation of classical music and animals. Many of these traits have been passed along to his children and grandson. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Beatrice; daughter Lynn (Warren) Woods; grandson Christopher; sisters, Martha, Carol and Dorothy; and many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his canine friends, Ashagh, Calista, Racket and Gentry. John was predeceased by his son Glenn in 1991. At Johns request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Donwood Manor. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring, compassionate staff of Donwood Manor who greatly enriched Johns life during the years he spent there.
